We have concluded that a warm/hot bucket bath is better than a cold shower. And unless you're really overheated, it's usually worth the time and effort of boiling water.
So, in the spring in Ust, they turn off the hot water in different parts of the city for 3 or 4 days. I used the teakettle to boil water, mixed it with cold faucet water, and dumped it over my head (while standing in the shower, of course). :)
