Important to note that we were advised that any mail sent to us from the States should be sent no later than mid-October (which is just around the corner). Basically, between then and about mid-January is when the risk of mail getting lost is the highest because of the holiday. So get any packages ready that you may be hoping to send, and we will get you the address soon!
Based on the feedback of other trainees and volunteers, it seems to be taking about a month for mail and packages to arrive from the time it is sent out in the States. Seems to be arriving pretty reliably, though some are still waiting for mail they were expecting to have already received.
Also, flat rate boxes seem to be the cheapest way to go, however no option is cheap admittedly! And then just load it up with all the heavy stuff you want.
