Sending us mail (which I'm sure we will appreciate more than we realize now!)

"You will be able to buy post cards and Namibian stamps at the Post Office in Okahandja. There will be no regular schedule for delivery of mail during pre-service training; staff will bring mail to you when it arrives. Staying in touch with loved-ones can be challenging at first, but you can expect a relatively regular letter flow as you begin to settle in. That said, be ready for a decreased level of communication with those in the U.S. during your first months in Namibia. Please inform friends and family that when sending packages they should not address the trainee as “Father Joseph Smith or Sister Jane Doe” as you are not members of a religious clergy and it is therefore inappropriate to have your packages addressed in this manner. The Namibian customs office has informed Peace Corps that mail addressed in this inappropriate manner may not be delivered."

Please email us if you'd like our mailing address. Our impression is that snail mail takes about a month. Emails are also much appreciated!

st3fbach@gmail.com for Steph
kemetz@gmail.com for Kevin

I'm sure we would love to receive just about anything, but any news about family and friends and the States would be especially appreciated! That, and chocolate and goodies!

Keep in mind that Kevin's birthday is on October 23rd. :)
